It's very straight forward actually. You only pay for the price of the plan, booster, or add-on that you buy. However, you first need to top up your account with credit and by law, we charge 20% sales tax on top-ups. Let's try to explain it with examples:
Initial Plan Purchases
You will pay for what you bought (plan + addons if any) and 20% sales tax. Why? Because what actually happens is we charge you for your initial top-up and automatically add the products to your account and transfer the tax to related authorities.
Buying Special Numbers
There is no tax on special numbers. So assume you are buying a 50,000 IQD special number with a 20,000 IQD plan, we will only charge you 20% tax on the plan price. So your total payment will be 74,000 IQD.
If you are topping up with Zain Cash or credit cards, we will add 20% sales tax on the amount you top up. If you are topping up with a voucher, there will be no sales tax, because you already paid this tax when you bought the voucher in the first place.
Buying Plans, Add ons, Boosters (not the initial purchase)
If you have enough money in your current already, there is no tax on your purchase. If you need to top-up to have enough credit, we will charge 20% sales tax if you use Zain Cash or a credit card. We won't charge anything if you top up with a voucher.
Let's assume you are buying a 15,000 IQD monthly plan, and you have 5,000 IQD in your account already. If you use Zain Cash or a credit card for topping up, we will charge you 15,000 IQD for the plan and 2,000 IQD tax (20% of 10,000 QID top up), a total of 17,000 IQD. If you use a voucher for topping up, we will charge you 15,000 IQD for the plan only.
